United Methodist Communities

Offering the full continuum of senior care and services, United Methodist Communities has a faith-based, non-profit mission to provide New Jersey seniors the security, health care, and socialization that creates the abundant lifestyle they deserve. Serving Seniors of all faiths and backgrounds. UMC has five communities throughout the state to serve senior men and woman who qualify under the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development income limits. Senior Housing offers apartment-style living with community rooms for activities, emergency pull-cords, a live-in superintendent, parking, and a small full-time staff.

Bishop Taylor

Bishop Taylor features a mix of 76 one-bedroom apartments and studio apartments, located in downtown East Orange within walking distance of churches, City Hall, retail shopping, recreation, and bus and rail transportation. Bishop Taylor also offers 24/7 security, cable television hookups, an outdoor patio, social activities, and congregate meal and housekeeping programs to seniors 62-years-of-age and older.


Covenant Place

Covenant Place features 57 one-bedroom apartments for low to moderate income older adults. The community is close to shops, entertainment, restaurants, churches, parks, and public transportation. Residents may relax in the well-kept surroundings or choose to participate in the various social activities.


Pine Ridge

Pine Ridge is a four-story affordable senior community with 47 apartments and is  situated close to the NJ Transit rail station, Montclair center, local churches, Mountainside Hospital, healthcare services, retail shops, and more, giving residents access to many services. Residents may relax or participate in the community life offerings at PineRidge, including a congregate meal and housekeeping programs to seniors 62-years-of-age and older


The Wesleyan

The Wesleyan is a six-story, 60 one-bedroom apartment community, offering senior housing to seniors aged 62 years and older. Opened in 1998 in the heart of vibrant Red Bank, The Wesleyan residents enjoy local riverside parks, unique shops, theaters, antique malls, churches, entertainment, the YMCA, restaurants, cafes, and train station. On-site activities in the Community Room complement those offered by the nearby Red Bank Senior Center.
