The JCHC operates two beautiful, meticulously maintained and newly renovated affordable housing communities in South Orange and West Orange New Jersey. We are more than just beautiful, affordable apartments for independent senior living. Our communities are available to all seniors with qualifying income levels who are 62 or older and provide dining options, broader help and assistance, and organized socialization opportunities you won’t find in typical apartments.
B’nai Brith Federation
At The South Orange B’nai B’rith Federation House, you know all your neighbors. It’s not just an apartment building, it’s a community for independent seniors. The residents enjoy many activities and services available on site, as well as everything that the vibrant town of South Orange has to offer. Although we have Jewish roots, we welcome seniors of all backgrounds and faiths with open arms.
Jewish Federation Plaza
Jewish Federation Plaza comprises four buildings connected by a sunny promenade and social spaces, offering HUD-subsidized apartments for seniors and the disabled who qualify. The independent seniors who live here enjoy many on-site activities together—cultural, social, and recreational—including many clubs, events, and programs that they have created for themselves. Our staff helps residents facilitate daily life, provides security and support that allows independent minded seniors to live an active life in the local community.
